Download our app!
We hear that from everyone everywhere: get our app. Truth is, we can’t download every app everyone offers. Rather, we have to pick and choose which apps we want because, no matter how new or big our phone memories, there’s only so much space available.
Some of the more popular apps people are games, social media/email, and financial apps. For a Christian, there might be one more app worth adding to the list of “must haves”: personal evangelism apps.
In my book, 1X Evangelism, I provide a means for churches to help their congregants become more engaged in personal evangelism. One of the tools you can use in 1X is tracts. However, they cost money and, for many, budgets are tight. Apps provide a great alternative to purchased tracts because they are more interactive, many people always have their smart phones with them, and they are free. Yes, free.
Here are some apps worth looking into if you are interested in having a tool at your fingertips to help you have Jesus conversations.

You don’t have to be a SWBTS student to download this app; it’s free to everyone. Includes four gospel tracts as well as resources for preaching. As of the time of this post, it is only available for Apple (sorry, my fellow Android users), though an Android version is coming.
From the people at Evangelism Explosion.
From Spread Truth Ministries, this app takes you through God’s story from “through Creation, Fall, Rescue, and Restoration.”
Includes stories from various celebrities and resources to connect with those in your community.
Developed specifically for the MBC, this app not only includes a gospel tract, but also resources for individuals and churches in Missouri. Again, only available for Apple users at the time of this post, though Android has the majority market share. MBC is working on an Android version for the rest of us.
Created by Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), this app includes four gospel tracts, including the popular “Four Spiritual Laws.”
I hope one or more of these resources helps you reach others with the gospel of Jesus for the glory of God.
